Lyrics:

The Son of God
The perfect man
Humbly yielded to Your Fathers plan
A noble King
The Spotless Lamb
You came to offer all the law demands
I will not forget the price you paid
Oh the love that lead you to take my place

It was for me you gave your life
It was for me you sacrificed
It was for me they nailed your body to a tree
Now by your wounds my sins are gone
You were bruised to take my wrong
By your stripes, by your stripes I am healed

A mother’s son
A child’s dad
Someone’s friend
The best they ever had
Courageous hearts
Defying fear
A human shield for all that they held dear
I will not forget the price they paid
Help me lord to wisely use this gift they gave

It was for me they gave their lives
It was for me they sacrificed
It was for me they faced the terror and the grave
Now freedom’s flag still is flown
From our hearts and from our homes
And red stripes remind us we are free
For they were brave.

It was for us they gave their lives
It was for us they sacrificed
It was for us they faced the terror and the grave
Now freedom’s flag still is flown
From our hearts and from our homes
And red stripes remind us we are free
For they were brave.

Only Unto You

Words and Music by Sarah D. Noll

Matt & Jill Timmerman

I wrote this song for Matt & Jill Timmerman
Married Dec 27th 2009

Lyrics:

You’re the melody God’s given me
I am just a simple harmony
Created for the way our hearts combine
One note longing for another
Till we finally found each other
Now our love plays like an anthem in my mind

Singing
We belong together
Only death could sever the bond of love between us shared
I will be faithful
I will be true
Keeping myself only unto you

Over winter wheat to fragrant spring
Through the autumn grain to harvesting
Our song plays on while seasons drift away
Built on chords of love, respect and trust
The notes our parents sang to us
Our anthem rings out stronger every day

Singing
We belong together
Only death could sever the bond of love between us shared
I will be faithful
I will be true
Keeping myself only unto you

And through the stormy skies
Our anthem will rise
And safe beneath the cross of Christ we’ll take our stand
Hand in hand

Singing
We belong together
Only death could sever the bond of love between us shared
I will be faithful
I will be true
Keeping myself only unto you

Guardian Angels

Words and music by Sarah D. Noll

Dedicated to the family of David Alexander Workman

Guardian Angel

Author: Sarah Noll

Lyrics:

Little Sally and her brother Tom
Play along the river
They see the sun on other bank
There where the berries grow

So they walk that old bridge across a great divide
The rail is gone and the water’s fast and high
But guardian angels to carry them
Safely to the other side

The sun grows dim as their basket fills
They know it’s time to go home
They gather some flowers along the way
To bring back for daddy and mom

Then they walk that old bridge across the great divide
The rail is gone and the water is fast and high
But guardian angels carry them
Safely to the other side.

The guardian angel’s message is clear
Our Father in heaven cares
Yet sometimes the little ones head out to play
But don’t make it back again safe

And I hear their momma’s cry
When they have to say goodbye
Then I see Suddenly a most radiant sight
Children’s faces shining and bright

As they walk that old bridge across the great divide
Stepping from earth toward heaven’s glorious light
And guardian angels carry them
Safely to the other side

We can all walk that of bridge by faith in Jesus Christ
And one day step into heaven’s glorious light
Where all of God’s children reunite
Safe on the other side

There where the berries grow
And flowers for mommy bloom

Take Up Your Cross

About the song -

My Husband saw me singing the chorus of this song in a dream. He relayed it to me the next day and I wrote the song around it.

Words & Music: by Jay & Sarah Noll

Lyrics:
People are suffering
Drowning in tears
Desperately helpless
Bound by their fears
Trapped, confused
Frightened dismayed
Weeping and crying out
Come and save

Woah, Take up your cross
Don't turn it away
Come follow Jesus and do as you say
Take up your cross
Don't turn it away
come follow Jesus and do as you say
Take up your cross

Children are dying of hunger and thirst
They need bread and water from heaven and earth
Their houses are wastelands
Deserts and slums
Filled with the death of the graves
They've become

Woah, Take up your cross
Don't turn it away
Come follow Jesus and do as you say
Take up your cross
Don't turn it away
come follow Jesus and do as you say
Take up your cross
Oh now I see the tears that you cry
And I feel your anguish arise
But Your joy awaits you
Your joy and your crown
Endure now the cross and you
Life will be found
Oh come now and

Take up your cross
Don't turn it away
Come follow Jesus and do as you say
Take up your cross
Don't turn it away
come follow Jesus and do as you say
Take up your cross

Your rest is before you
Your long journey past
Yet battles await you
You still must hold fast
Now is the time
To go take the land
Take courage and fear not
The Lord's in command

Woah, Take up your cross
Don't turn it away
Come follow Jesus and do as you say
Take up your cross
Don't turn it away
come follow Jesus and do as you say
Take up your cross

Songs of Faith and Compassion

Track 1 - Come Unto Me

Author: Sarah Noll
Copyright: Sarah Noll
Album: Teardrops Fall: Songs of Faith and Compassion

About the song
Mt. 11:28; 18:28; 7:11

Lyrics
Come unto Me and believe, and receive
Climb upon My knee. Whisper to Me and you will see
That the Father loves to give good gifts to His children

Give me a drink and something to eat
Give me clothes and shoes for my feet
And Give me Everything that I need

Help me feed the hungry boys
I couldn’t buy much food with my toys
And could you send some toys for them

My sister couldn’t come today
She’s too sick to even play
And could You take her sickness away

May I have some glue and tape
Tears run down my mommy’s face
I broke the vase daddy gave
Before he went away

May I have a home again
A mom and dad and a few close friends
And could I learn more about heaven
Cause one day I’d like to go there
With the Father who answered my prayer

May I have a blanket and bed
And pillow for the baby Jesus’ head

Track 2 - More Worthy Author: Sarah Noll
Copyright: Sarah Noll
Album: Teardrops Fall: Songs of Faith and Compassion

Lyrics
Open your eyes to the God of history
He is revealing Himself to us for He
Never changes He’s always the same (Heb.13:8; Mt. 24:35)
Though this world passes His Word will remain
More worthy is He than we see
More worthy of our praise than we sing
More worthy of our trust than we give
I will live, I will live for the King

Look through the pages of truth and you’ll find
Riches eternal, all glory divine (Eph 1:15-23)
Treasures immeasurable He has in store (Col 2:2-3)
Welcome Him in for He knocks at the door (Rev. 3:20)

Look in the eyes of our God who has spoken
Poured out upon us His Spirit a token (Eph. 1:13-14)
All that He promised, He said He would do (2 Pet.2:9)
Call upon Him for He’s calling on you (Jn 10:3)

Track 3 - This Belongs to You Author: Sarah Noll
Copyright: Sarah Noll
Album: Teardrops Fall: Songs of Faith and Compassion

Lyrics
This belongs to You
I am ashamed I kept it so long
This belongs to You
And I lay it down here at Your feet

This belongs to You
The best of all I am You’ve given
This belongs to You
And I lay it down here at Your feet

Mt. 18:2-4, 19:14; Mek 10:13-16; Lk. 18:15-17

Let the little children come to Me (Mt 19:14)
And I will bless them I will bless them. Forbid them not For of such as these is heaven, is heaven

Oh, Lord, give me the faith of a little child
So warm and tender meek and mild

Unless you become as one of these
Little children, little children
You can by no means enter in
To heaven, to heaven (Mt 8:13)

Track 5 - My People Can't Walk Author: Sarah Noll
Copyright: Sarah Noll
Album: Teardrops Fall: Songs of Faith and Compassion

About the Song
Psalm 115:5-8; Mt 13:13-15; Mrk 4:12; 8:18; Lk 8:10-11; 2 Chr n. 7:14 Deut. 4:28-30; Is. 44:9-19; Jer. 10:3-5, 8; Ps. 135:15-18, Is. 6:9-10

Lyrics
My people can’t walk, my people can’t talk
They’ve made themselves gods of wood
Well, those who make them will be like them
Woe woe man! Woe woe man!

My people can’t hear, my people can’t see
Lest they turn their hearts to Me, yeah
Cause if My people called by My name
Will humble themselves and seek My face
I will hear from heaven and
I will heal their land. Oh man! Woe man!

Yeah, if My people called by My name
Will turn away from their wicked way
I will hear from heaven and I will heal! I will heal

Well I will hear; yeah, I will hear
And I will heal their land
I will hear; yeah, I will hear
And I will heal their land. Woe, woe man!

Track 6 - Just Believe

Author: Sarah Noll
Copyright: Sarah Noll
Album: Teardrops Fall: Songs of Faith and Compassion

About the song
About 11 years ago I had a vision of the Lord taking my hand and leading me. I heard no voice, only I saw in His face, "I have so many things to show you." He has lead me through His Word, teaching me many things and this song sprung out of what I learned from Him. It's all in His Word! The first verse refers to the vision, but also to Exodus. The rest is from the gospels.

Lyrics
Take my hand and walk with me
Through the desert and across the sea
Turn the sea into dry land
Things impossible for man

See I cursed the fig less tree
And it withered immediately
You'll do things greater than these
If you will just believe

Chorus:
Just believe
Just believe
Just have faith in God
Just have faith in God
Just believe
Just believe
Just have faith in God
Just have faith in God

If you have faith as a mustard seed
You can say to this mulberry tree
To be picked up by it's roots
And be planted in the sea
And it will obey (chorus)

Tell this mountain to be removed
And be cast into the sea
In your heart do not doubt
But believe that it will come about
And it will come about (chorus)

Therefore this to you I say
Whatever you ask for when you pray
Just believe that you'll receive them
And you will surely have them (chorus)

Track 7 - If Jesus Lived Today...

Author: Sarah Noll
Copyright: Sarah Noll
Album: Teardrops Fall: Songs of Faith and Compassion

About the song
Upon reading Rev. John Wesley's writings I was convicted in my heart and began to ask, "Do I really love my neighbor as myself?" This song emerged from that time in my life.

Lyrics
If Jesus lived today in some small corner of the world
Weak and hungry on His mom's lap curled
Would we sit at our tables set in luxury
But leave Jesus with nothing to eat

Chorus:
Love your neighbor as you would love yourself
Do to others what you would have them do to you
And remember what you do to one of these
You do to Him
You do to Him

If Jesus were sleeping on a floor of sand
No mom or dad to love or care for Him
Would we tuck our own children in and kiss their heads
But leave Jesus alone and unfed (chorus)

Bridge:
What's ours is ours it's true
And we can keep it if we choose
But if we seek to keep our life
Our life we'll lose
And what if Jesus never looked upon our need
Never heard our cry for mercy
Never left His majesty
Never offered up His own life selflessly
Where would we be
Where would we be
(chorus)

Track 8 - I Believe Author: Sarah Noll
Copyright: Sarah Noll
Album: Teardrops Fall: Songs of Faith and Compassion

About the song
I wrote this song amidst testing of my faith.

Lyrics
CHORUS:
Oh, I believe in You
Oh, I believe in You
I believe the things You say
I believe the things You do
Oh, I believe, I believe
Oh, I believe in You
I see you clearer every day
As my mind and eyes are bathed
Precious words that You spake
Doubts and fears are washed away
And I believe
Oh, I believe (chorus)

I can not make others believe
The things I hear
The things I see
Timeless truths within Your Word
That many think are so absurd
But, I believe,
Oh, I believe (chorus)

Track 9 - God's Little Boy/Girl

Dedicated to all who sponsor a child in Jesus’ name!

Song of thanks to those sponsoring a child And a reminder to write and pray for God's little boy or girl.

Author: Sarah Noll
Copyright: Sarah Noll
Album: Teardrops Fall: Songs of Faith and Compassion

About the song
When I first became a child advocate for Compassion International I was sending out a child packet to someone expressed an interest in sponsoring. I wrote a little note on the bottom of my letter, "enjoy God's little girl!" It struck a chord in me and I wrote this song.

Lyrics
The Sacrifice you've made has put
Smiles on someone's face
And love you send their way will be like
Flowers on a rainy day
So don't forget to write and pray
For God's little boy, God's little girl

Now letter day will come and many
Little feet will run
Eager eyes will wait to see
"Did a letter come for me?"
So don't forget to write and pray
For God's little boy, God's little girl

Pictures and post cards
Stickers and stamps
Paper plains and paper dolls make
Little eyes dance
Your prayers are cherished like
Precious pearls
Letters like sunlight cheer the world
For God's Little boy, God's little girl

Now sometimes when they write they might
Write what their teacher says
But when they sleep at night they might
Take your letter to bed
Oh, don't forget to write and pray
No, don't forget to write and pray
And enjoy
God's little boy, God's little girl

Track 10 - Church It's Time Author: Sarah Noll
Copyright: Sarah Noll
Album: Teardrops Fall: Songs of Faith and Compassion

Lyrics

Church, it’s time to get ready
Lay aside the weights and run steady (Heb 12:1,2)
Look to Jesus who said He’d come (Heb 12:2)
As He promised!

He’s coming to take His bride to heaven
For the marriage supper of the Lamb (Rev. 19:7-8)
We will ride back again to fight the war (Rev 19:8,14)
With the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords (Rev 19:16)

Can you hear the trump sounding (1Cor. 15:52)
Wars and rumors abounding
Jesus soon will be rounding
On the clouds He’ll be . . . (Mt 24:30; 1 Th 4:17; Rev. 1:7)

Living water is calling (Rev. 22:17)
Brighter days are dawning
Though the world is falling down
all around He’ll be . . .

Track 11 - The Hem... Author: Sarah Noll
Copyright: Sarah Noll
Album: Teardrops Fall: Songs of Faith and Compassion

About the song
I was reading the story in the Bible about the woman who touched the hem of Christ's garment and was made perfectly whole. My response was to cry out to Him, "how do we touch the hem of Your garment today?

Lyrics
While you walked upon the earth
Many years ago
A woman came behind in the crowd
Reached out and touched your clothes
She said if only I may touch
His clothes I shall be made well
Immediately her suffering stopped
And she was healed

Chorus:
Oh, Lord, how do I touch,
The hem of Your garment, today
I believe in Your power
I believe in the price that You paid
And if I could just touch
The hem of Your garment I'd be made
Perfectly whole
But how do I touch
The hem of Your garment, today

Your disciples were perplexed
When You turned around
And said, "Who touched Me?"
They said, "Lord, You see the crowd"
But when the woman touched your hem
You knew immediately
You said, "Somebody touched Me
For I perceived
Power going out of Me
(Chorus)

I believe that I believe in You
But when I do not receive I must
Believe that it's true
When I hear You say
"Child where is Your faith?"

Oh, Lord, Help me to touch
The hem of Your garment today
To believe in Your power
And believe in the price that You paid
For If I could just touch
The hem of Your garment I'd be made
Perfectly whole
Lord help me to touch
The hem of Your garment today

Then you turned around to see
Her who had done this thing
And seeing that she was not hid
She came in fear and trembling
And falling down there before You
She began to tell
And You said, "Child, go in peace, be healed
Your faith has made you well"
(Chorus)

Oh Lord, help me to touch
The hem of Your garment today

Track 12 - The Glory Goes Up Author: Sarah Noll
Copyright: Sarah Noll
Album: Teardrops Fall: Songs of Faith and Compassion

About the song
In studying I Corinthians 11:1-15 of the Bible I realized that there was a stream of glory going up from the wife to husband to God and a stream of authority coming down from God to husband to wife. I was so tickled the song just came out of me! Children especially enjoy the song with motions.

Lyrics
Well I found a hidden treasure
In the pleasure of Your Word
I am walking in green pastures
Wherever Your voice is heard . . . and

Chorus:
The Glory goes up! up! up!
The power comes down down down
And the Word of the Lord goes round and round
All honor to the King
All authority from Him
As we build our lives on solid ground

Now the things I've read so many times
Suddenly seem new
At I take the things I've heard before
And I make them what I do . . . well (chorus)

So, I've found this heart to praise You
I'm making a joyful sound
And my heart floats up to heaven
While my feet still touch the ground . . . and (chorus)

Track 13 - Teardrops Fall Author: Sarah Noll
Copyright: Sarah Noll
Album: Teardrops Fall: Songs of Faith and Compassion

About the Song
Dedicated to Rita Roy, the first child assigned me to link with a sponsor.

Lyrics
Teardrops fall, sweet child of My heart
I have seen them all, sweet child of My heart
And I have gathered them in My jar (Ps. 56:8)

A mighty voice of God
Goes out around the world
The suffering voice of Christ
In hungry boys and girls
Tears fall to the dust
From those who trust in My name
And mingle with the blood
That cries out against Cain (Gen. 4:10; Rev. 8:1-5)
Arise! arise! arise! arise!
My body here on earth

The mighty voice of God echoes through all time
If you love the least of these
You love Me they are Mine
But why do you grow ill on the fat of your land
When somewhere My body’s lean
You must reach out My hand

The mighty voice of God whispers in my heart
“Church it’s time for you
To rise and take your part”

Come to Me, all you who are thirsty
Come to Me, all you who are hungry
Come, although you have no money
Come to Me, and partake freely (Is 55:1; Rev 22:17)

Take and eat sweet child of My heart
Take and drink and think of My heart
For this is My body broken for you (1Cor 11: 21, 24, 29, 30)
Sweet child of My heart

Track 14 - Side by Side

Teri & Pastor Jay Henderson

Author: Sarah Noll
Copyright: Sarah Noll
Album: Teardrops Fall: Songs of Faith and Compassion

About the song
Dedicated to Pastor Jay Henderson & his wife Teri who together battled her cancer and won!

Lyrics
I saw wisdom and beauty walking hand in hand
He was her desire; she was the delight of her man
They’d been through fire and come forth again
And I saw wisdom and beauty walking hand in hand

I saw strength and glory walking arm in arm
He was her armor and she was his charm
Through faith and purity they weathered the storm
And I saw strength and glory walking arm in arm

And I saw in their eyes depth of love and grace
The shadow of death could not steal
Their warm embrace

And I saw Christ and His bride waking side by side
He bore all her sickness she in turn gained life
Perfect love and wholeness in this man and wife
I saw Christ and His bride walking side by side.
Yes, I saw Christ and His bride walking side by side

Track 15 - Save Me Author: Sarah Noll
Copyright: Sarah Noll
Album: Teardrops Fall: Songs of Faith and Compassion

About the song
Upon examining the state of my own life (body, soul and spirit) compared with the perfect image of God (Christ) in whose image we were originally created I was overwhelmed by my destitute state and cried out for Jesus to save me.

Lyrics
Long before You came to earth
You fashioned all the universe
And in You image we were made
But sin has marred creation's story
We all have sinned and fall short of Your glory
We all like sheep have gone astray
And we cannot find our way home

Jesus! Jesus!
Savior, Creator
We were formed to honor You

Holy infant cradled by Your mother
You are more beautiful than any other
The perfect image of Your Father God
I see in Your nativity
Your own blueprint for humanity
You wanted us to look like You
Oh now what are we to do!

Jesus! Jesus!
Save us! Save us!
We were formed to honor . . .

Your perfect body, spirit and soul
Restore Your image
Make me whole Oh

Save me! Save me!
Jesus, save me!
That I may honor
That I may honor You

Track 16 - Our Father Author: Sarah Noll
Copyright: Sarah Noll
Album: Teardrops Fall: Songs of Faith and Compassion

About the Song
Mt 6:9-13 KJV

Lyrics
Our Father who art in heaven.
Hallowed be Your name
Your kingdom come. Your will be done
[On] earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors
And lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil
For Yours is the Kingdom
And the power and the glory forever
Yes, Yours is the Kingdom
And the power and the glory forever
Forever amen
