Plans are underway for the 2nd annual Slow Pitch Softball game on June 5th, 2016.  This year the proceeds will benefit the “Not Your Average Joe” scholarship fund created in the memory of 1996 ECS Alumni, Joe Vunk.

In January of 2016, the communities of Edmeston and New Berlin lost a dear friend in Joe Vunk. Over the span of
his 38 years, Joe became and leader, mentor, and coach to many of his adult peers and children who were
fortunate enough to participate on his athletic teams. Joe’s warm, accepting personality and endearing sense of
humor made him a great friend and an asset to both communities. Joe made both communities stronger through
his leadership qualities, positive attitude, and ability to mentor children.

So, get your team together and come on out and have some fun with the rest of the community!
